Introducing Cafe Wha Entertainment

The sister company of the most iconic music establishment, Cafe Wha?. Cafe Wha Entertainment is an entertainment company that offers a diverse range of services, from dynamic live bands and DJs to custom entertainment for weddings, corporate functions, and immersive entertainment experiences. The roots of the iconic partner venue trace back to 1959 when Manny Roth opened Cafe Wha? in Greenwich Village. Since then, the club has been a stage for legendary figures such as Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Bruce Springsteen, and more.

Case Study

Cafe Wha Entertainment faced significant challenges in establishing its digital presence. The company’s social media pages suffered from a lack of cohesive brand identity and further issues due to irregular updates and the absence of engaging content, leading to low engagement and minimal growth in their follower base. Additionally, there was no consistent marketing collateral strategy in place, making it difficult to maintain a unified brand message across different platforms. Compounding these issues was the absence of any system to track and analyze the success of its social media and broader marketing efforts, leaving the company without essential insights into its campaign performance.

Furthermore, the company lacked a proper website, a critical setback in today’s digital age, as it hindered potential clients from discovering their services through internet searches. Lastly, the company’s in-house logo did not reflect the sophistication or strategic vision that is counterproductive for their goals that is necessary to effectively convey the essence of its brand, an essential element for a business in the events and entertainment industry.

NKR Digital’s Social Media Marketing strategy has helped Cafe Wha Entertainment increase its organic digital reach by 1100%, user visibility by 228.1%, and recognition & growth by 641% just in the first month and is continuing to grow and well-maintained within a range up to 38% with a growth retention rate of 99.01% in a month.

NKR Digital stepped in and revamped Cafe Wha Entertainment’s digital persona with a specific strategy in place tailored to the entertainment company’s needs and goals. NKR Digital focused on two (2) things: aesthetics in optimizing and producing visually appealing and properly marketed reels and content that highlighted the very service being sold by the company – entertainment. For strategy, NKR Digital showcased performance glimpses, first-hand testimonials & event experiences, proper utilization of niche-keyword and interest tagging, and Meta-Data building. The approach also includes continuously updating and changing schemes for the entertainment company based on both controlled and uncontrolled variables such as KPI, algorithm updates, and niche targeting. Brand Development

In the rebranding process, NKR Digital crafted a new visual identity for Cafe Wha Entertainment. We meticulously designed an updated long-form logo and a submark that is more suitable for the entertainment company’s goal. The rebranding is a two (2) wave process wherein we initially carefully preserved the core elements of the original logo while modernizing it. It ran for 90 days until we transitioned to the second and final version, a complete change with a focus on contemporary elegance and sophistication. During the 90-day transition period, for the brand development to be successful, we strategically built brand recognition, identity, and retention into the entertainment company’s viewers and followers.

The whole process of the whole brand development especially, the long-form logo and submark involved a thorough process, striving to find the perfect balance between familiarity and sophistication. This meticulous approach was aimed at maintaining the logo’s recognizable features while elevating its aesthetic to a more modern and refined level. The successful redesign not only enabled the company to distinguish itself in a competitive market but also to attract a broader client base.

NKR Digital also produced a Brand Guideline deck for the entertainment company to ensure consistency and quality for both internal and external use of Cafe Wha Entertainment.

Website Design and Development

NKR Digital’s Website Design Development has bumped the entertainment company to the 3rd spot in Google ranking in just 2 months after its launch in parallel and supplemented by its institution Cafe Wha. Both referral and direct link visits that are in conjunction with Social Media Strategy increased tremendously by 400%. Out of the total lifetime website traffic since the launch, NKR Digital produced a 33% conversion rate for Cafe Wha Entertainment for their business.

Initially hired as a consultant for another agency, NKR Digital had to step in to be a developer when Cafe Wha Entertainment needed to launch ASAP and the previous agency wouldn’t be able to deliver. Despite the unusually short and tight deadline, NKR Digital not only delivered what was asked of and went above and beyond and took control of what needs deliverables that are beneficial for the entertainment company’s business conversion. Cafe Wha Entertainment requested for a Landing Page/Home page with a contact section. NKR Digital went above and beyond by producing necessary pages that are favorable for the short-term target of a quarter (3 months) until the second wave of development starts. Additional pages along with the assets were produced such as The Club Page that helps viewers and potential clients the difference between the Institution and the Entertainment company, FAQs to save both parties – the client and the entertainment company with the back-and-forth questions, and the copies provided by the previous agency were further enhanced for SEO.
